Green tea - Genmaicha Kaori

This product is unavailable

Genmaicha is a mellow blend of roasted and puffed brown rice grains and Sencha that has been well-loved by green tea fans in Japan for centuries. Due to the rice, this tea has the rich and hearty flavor of roasted grains or coffee but also the freshness of Sencha. Our Genmaicha is composed of equal proportions of organic roasted rice and first-flush Sencha, which is different from cheaper Genmaicha made with low-grade Sencha or Nibancha (second flush). Additionally, our tea features a special type of rice that is used to make the famous Japanese rice cake called 'Mochi', and this kind of rice adds a rich, well-rounded roast flavour. Genmaicha is an easily accessible tea that is appreciated by everyone, even by people who are not used to drinking Japanese tea.
Zen tea imports its Japanese green teas directly from Japan. Tea is harvested and packaged directly at the tea plantations to preserve the flavour and freshness of the tea.
